Certification details
What this certification covers
The Bond® Bottle Nipples (Stages 1–3) are food-grade silicone components of the Bond® Silicone Glass Bottle system. They were evaluated as part of that product's original documentation review against CMF Standard v1.0, and certification was extended to the nipples as a standalone replacement product on that basis. All three stages share the same silicone material and construction, differing only in flow rate, and were assessed together as a single product family. On that basis, the nipples' exposed surfaces, the parts that contact a child's mouth during intended use, were determined to contain no plastics or other microplastic-forming materials.
Certification is granted per product, applies to the configuration reviewed, and is renewed annually with confirmation that materials and suppliers remain unchanged. It does not evaluate properties outside the standard's scope, such as durability or general product safety, which remain governed by applicable product regulations.
Details on how reviews are conducted are published in Methods Transparency and Testing vs Documentation.
What certification covers: Certification is a documentation-based review of a product’s exposed-surface materials against CMF Standard v1.0. It is not a laboratory test of the finished product and is not a guarantee that no microplastic particles will ever be present in or around it. See Methods Transparency for what we review and what we do not.
