How we structure review, licensing, and renewal fees.
Pricing Overview
Our pricing is structured to be predictable and transparent. The Initial Application is free. Fees apply only once we begin a detailed review and when certification is granted.
Review fees
Review fees are charged per product after preliminary eligibility screening and before we begin a detailed documentation review.
- $299 per product for the documentation-based technical review. This fee is nonrefundable once the review begins and includes a written determination even if the product does not qualify for certification.
Licensing fees
If your product is certified, a licensing fee applies for a 12-month term of seal use and listing as certified.
- Licensing is charged per certified product or product family.
- Fees scale with the expected usage of the seal and the size of the product line.
We provide a clear licensing quote after the review fee is paid and before you sign a licensing agreement.
Renewal fees
To maintain certification beyond the initial term, an annual renewal fee is required.
Territory: Seal use is currently licensed for the United States. We do not presently authorize use of the seal in Canada or the European Union, regardless of where a product is manufactured or where the company is incorporated. Territories are reviewed as our trademark registrations and program expand.
- Renewals include a documentation update and confirmation that materials and suppliers have not changed in ways that affect eligibility.
