This page explains how to raise concerns about certification decisions or use of the Certified Microplastic-Free seal.
Appealing a certification decision
If you are a manufacturer and disagree with a certification decision, you may request a review.
- Send an email to info@microfree.org with the product name, decision date, and the reason you believe the decision should be reconsidered.
- We may ask for additional information or clarification.
- A separate reviewer will look at the decision record and provide a written response.
Reporting potential misuse of the seal
If you believe the Certified Microplastic-Free seal is being used in a misleading way, or on a product that has not been certified, please contact us.
- Include photos or links showing where the seal appears.
- Share any information you have about the product and manufacturer.
We review each report and may contact the manufacturer for clarification or corrective action.
Confidentiality
We treat complaints and appeals in confidence and use the information only to investigate and respond to the issue.
