Documentation Requirements
What we ask for once your product passes eligibility screening.
Documentation Requirements
We keep the initial application light. Detailed documentation is only requested once a product passes our eligibility screening.
Before eligibility screening
- High-level product description.
- Main materials as you currently understand them.
- Intended use and contact pathways (for example, food-contact, mucosal, or skin-contact).
After eligibility approval
If your product is in scope, we ask for supporting documentation such as:
- Bill of Materials or material breakdown for all contact components.
- Supplier or manufacturer statements for key materials.
- Process notes for manufacturing steps that may affect microplastic shedding risk.
- Packaging specifications where relevant to contact pathways.
How we use your documentation
- To classify contact surfaces and evaluate them against our criteria.
- To identify potential microplastic shedding risks.
- To document a consistent decision trail for each product.
We do not disclose your documentation to third parties without your permission, except where required by law.
